In 2006 in the commune there were 189 incorporated economic subjects. Commerce and repair are dominating branches here (108 economic subjects). The next group is represented by the construction sector- 33 subject. 18 subjects deal with production. Remaining subjects provide services from following branches:

• protection sanitary - 3 surgery,
• gastronomy - 7 bars and 2 restaurants,
• education - one language school,
• transport - 6 small companies,
• account offices - 2,
• the hairdresser's - 3,
• services related with forestry- 3 subjects,
• veterinary services - 1 subject,
• other - 2 subjects.

Among all businesses in Odrzywol Commune prevailing are the small ones, which employ not more than ten people. These are mostly single enterprises, which mainly deal with commerce and services.
To the biggest economic subjects in Odrzywol Commune belong:

Odrzywol Commune is known from its own " brand " product - bagels. Thus, bakery and confectionery are very economic sectors here. 4 bakeries are placed in Odrzywol and in Wysokin.

Agriculture still remains very important branch of economy, though the number of farmers and the number of farms decreases.
Odrzywol Commune is an agricultural commune. 1288 people are employed in agriculture, what represents 50,77% of the whole employees. Arable land occupy 6042 ha - 61,5% of the commune's surface.

Agriculture is dependent on the quality of soil, climate, and location. Unfortunately, the quality of soil in Odrzywol Commune is not so good. Soils of classes IV - VI occupy 6324 ha - over 64% of all commune's surface.

Class of soil determines character of cultivation. General surface of cultivation in the commune occupy 2908 ha. Cereals lead superiority. Their cultivation occupy 2430 ha - 83,6% of general surface of cultivation. While in the whole mazovian province this rate is formed at the level 72,5 - 74,9%. This is the result of accumulation of several factors: not good quality of soils, disintegration of farms and cultivation of cereals one after another. That is why it is hard to obtain increaseof harvest.
Among cereals rye is cultivated on 1580 ha zyta and oat - on 500 ha. Rural farms are characterized here by a big disintegration, what does not promote processes of mechanization and specialization of production.

In agrarian structure farms with surface, which does not surpass 5 ha predominate.

Odrzywol Commune is not fully supplied in running water. Without the access to running water remains about 40-80 inhabitants. It does not mean of course that the situation with water utility is bad.

System of drainage was substantially extended in last years. Its actual length is 13,6km and has 910 users. Unfortunately still without the access to the system of drainage remains 80% of inhabitants.

There is no central heating system in the commune, so all the building must have their own boiler houses. There is not also any local gasoline system that would supply private and public buildings with gas. Although, there are some plans to create such a system till 2010.

Odrzywol Commune has its own sewage treatment plant localized in Odrzywol and one municipal waste dump. The surface of this dump is 9595 square km. trucks haul away garbage to the dump.

The power grid is extended and has 71,6 km. There are also 39 transformator stations. Odrzywol Commune has two telephone exchanges. They serve almost all inhabitants of the commune.
