Odrzywol Commune has three primary schools, one junior high school and a group of economic schools.

Public primary schools are in Myslakowice, Odrzywol and Ossa. Presently 384 Children are educating in primary schools and 45 teachers works there. Those schools have to disposition 23 teaching rooms. Besides that, each outpost has at disposal its own athletic hall and playground. Primary schools has also libraries, which can use all the pupils.
Junior high schools is placed in Odrzywol. This schools has to share one building with public primary school, and is situated on its first floor. However, this school presently has at disposal 260 places for children, but not all of them are occupied, because apparently to this school attend 179 pupils. Teacher's staff accounts to 18 teachers. Outpost has 8 teaching houses available and computer studio. If it comes to sport facilities, junior high school uses stocks of primary schools.
Teenagers, who want to continue its education within the commune have to their disposal three secondary schools, which are parts of a group of economic schools in Lipiny

Culture and sport

Within the commune's territory there are a lot of places that remind us about culture and history of the region and demonstrate its artistry. There are for example numeral sacral objects, wood grinding mill of XIX century or hunting court.


In Odrzywol Commune there are a few cultural institutions that cultivate regional tradition and hold all souvenirs of the regions. These are so called houses of memory.
A key role in preservation of commune's culture also plays Local Public Library in Odrzywol. This is the most important cultural institution within the commune. It gives to the disposal of readers 11567 volumes. This outpost was adapted to the service of disabled people. Library organizes many cultural performances directed mostly for teenagers and children. These are artistic and reader's competitions, meetings with authors of the books for young people. Library also leads lessons for young people reader's about librarian duties. Together with the Commune's Office, Public Library organizes popular cyclic performance called "Dożynki gminne", as well as annual "Sobótki nad Pilicą", which take place in primary school in Myslakowice. To historic and literary anniversaries library organizes thematic exhibitions.

Along with library functions folkloristic group "Znad Drzewiczki", which cultivates local tradition and with success takes part in numerous cultural performances.

What is more, Odrzywol Commune has two common houses available for all inhabitants, one in Klonna and one in Wysokin. They exist to organize free time for children at afternoon hours. The idea of common houses functioning is active aiding in child's development, broadening of his interests and abilities of orientation in reality as well as prompting of his creative posture of reaction on changes that are happening all around. To the common house's functions also belongs helping for children from inefficient families through giving them additional educational, didactic, psychological and therapeutic care.

Odrzywol Commune has three musical groups that function in the area with success cultivating local tradition and reminding about regional folklore.

If it comes to sport activities, Odrzywol Commune has at its disposal sports hall, localized at public primary school in Odrzywol and communal sports field in Warsaw street. Besides, all remaining sport objects from local schools also belong to the sports base of the commune.


Sports hall

Main weight of promotion and development of sport in the region as well as organizing of sport activities belong to the sport clubs. Unfortunately their amount in the commune is definitely too small as on requirements of the over 4 thousands community. Odrzywol Commune has only two sport clubs: "Perła" and "Gemini".

In spite of lack of infrastructure, sport represents an important domain in lives of inhabitants. Sports cyclic performances are organized here quite often and they are very popular not only among young people but also within adults. The most often these are different performances, contests, interschool galas and festivals. Big interest in such activities shows that there is a demand for sport and recreation.
